Welcome to the Launton Village Video Website.
FINAL DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES IS WEDNESDAY 10TH JUNE...
Come along and learn how to quickly get to grips with Movie Maker, which is on
all Windows xp and Vista Computers. If you can bring along a laptop this would help, but is not essential.
With the advent of video, you tube etc, We are launching a VILLAGE VIDEO COMPETITION, which will be showcased and
judged at this year's Church Fete, on Saturday 13th June.
Don't worry if you think you can't make
a video. All you need is some 'footage' preferably from a video camera, rather than a phone, and a personal computer.
We
are planning to run some hands on work shops shortly.
Videos need to be one minute in length maximum.
The
competition will have 3 categories:
1. Anything to do with Launton, could be about the village, people, business or
anything else to do with the village.
2. An open competition, open to all who either live in or around Launton, use
the village services, such as school, pubs, shops, post office etc.
3. The best musical track going with a video. We
have many good composers of both electronic and instrumental music within the village.
All videos will be hosted on
Youtube, with entry by request in the lvv group.

We hope to be able to offer a service of analogue video to digital MP4 so that you can
use some of your older videos.
